Our Environment Division delivers critical water and environmental infrastructure projects across the UK, helping to improve communities and protect the environment. We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner to join our People Team on a maternity cover basis.
Supporting approximately 1,800 employees across our Environment Business, you will partner with leaders and managers to deliver a proactive, pragmatic and commercially focused HR service across the full employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Business Unit HR Lead, you will play a key role in supporting business performance through effective people management, employee relations, workforce planning and the delivery of strategic people initiatives.
A significant aspect of the role will involve managing a varied employee relations caseload, providing expert advice and guidance on disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability and performance matters, ensuring a consistent and balanced approach aligned to business objectives and company values.
Working closely with the wider HR function, you'll primarily support the Environment Business whilst also providing some support to our Specialist Services businesses.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong combination of technical HR expertise, commercial awareness and exceptional stakeholder management skills.
