HR Business Partner – FTC
Location: Cambridge (hybrid, 3 days in the office)
Salary: £45-55k
Contract: Full time

We’re exclusively partnering with an exciting organisation seeking a HR Business Partner to join their People Team on a fixed-term maternity cover.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established organisation at an important time in their journey. The role would particularly suit someone who has a keen interest in AI and technology, and has perhaps already explored how these can be used to improve processes and ways of working within HR.

Key Responsibilities
• Act as a trusted HR partner to managers across the organisation
• Provide confident advice and support across a range of complex people matters
• Help managers develop their skills and confidence when leading their teams
• Play an active role in people-focused projects and periods of organisational change
• Support the development, progression and retention of talent across the business
• Use HR information and trends to identify areas for improvement and support effective decision-making
• Help identify smarter and more efficient ways of working across the People function
• Explore opportunities to make better use of technology and AI within HR

Desired Background
• Previous experience in an HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor or comparable generalist position
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent practical experience
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law with solid employee relations experience
• Comfortable using data and insight as part of your approach to HR
• Previous exposure to AI or technology-led HR improvements would be particularly interesting

• Commercial in your thinking with a practical approach to problem-solving
• Comfortable working in an organisation experiencing change
• Naturally curious with an interest in new technology and AI
• Proactive, adaptable and happy to take ownership
