Job Description - HR Coordinator

Worcester | Up to £35,000 | Hybrid

SF Recruitment are proud to be partnering with an exciting and fast-growing business in the environmental sector, based in Worcester. This organisation is on the lookout for a confident, capable, and proactive HR Coordinator to join their expanding team.

This is a brand-new role, reporting directly to the Head of People, and offers a unique opportunity to help build the HR function from the ground up. If you enjoy variety, taking ownership, and being part of a company on a growth journey - this one's for you.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle
  • Supporting managers with employee relations queries and best practice advice
  • Overseeing recruitment from job posting to onboarding
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR data
  • Coordinating engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Liaising with both senior leaders and operational teams
  • Supporting the Head of People with projects, reporting, and HR improvements
  • Assisting with onboarding/offboarding and general HR admin
  • Getting involved in policy development and HR system updates


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in a fast-paced HR role (Coordinator or Junior Advisor level)
  • Confident working independently and taking initiative
  • Strong communication skills - comfortable engaging with all levels, from engineers to SLT
  • Organised and detail-oriented
  • Good understanding of HR policies, employment law, and recruitment processes
  • Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 preferred - or strong hands-on HR experience
  • Positive, proactive, and keen to grow within a developing HR team
