Job Description - HR Coordinator

HR Admin Team Leader
  • Annual Salary: £36k-£37k
  • Location: Sussex
  • Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking an HR Admin Team Leader on behalf of our wonderful Sussex client: this role involves managing a team of People Services Administrators and a People Services Coordinator; the team is responsible for all aspects of People administration, including recruitment and onboarding, absence management, training, employee relations, and offboarding.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead and manage the team to ensure efficient and effective administration of all HR-related processes.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for new hires.
  • Manage absence records and training schedules, ensuring compliance and up-to-date employee records.
  • Handle employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to ensure fair and consistent treatment.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the efficiency of the HR department.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on HR metrics to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HR Administrator, HR Coordinator, or similar role
  • CIPD Level 5
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
  • In-depth understanding of all HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and databases.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
