Job Description - HR Director

Reed HR is thrilled to be partnering with a dynamic and expanding organisation based in Sussex in their search for an experienced HR Director to join their leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.

This is a pivotal role where you'll shape and implement a progressive People strategy that enhances engagement, drives performance, and supports the company’s ambitious growth journey. You'll ensure that all change and transformation initiatives are aligned with the organisation’s core values and culture.

As HR Director, you’ll be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, leading key People workstreams. Your strategic vision will guide cultural evolution, business transformation, and scalable growth, all while fostering a values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of the HR strategy in alignment with the organisation’s vision and objectives.
  • Oversee all HR operations including talent acquisition, employee relations, learning & development, and performance management.
  • Drive initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Provide expert guidance on organisational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a complex or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into action.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
