Overview
Unilever have announced an agreement to combine Unilever Foods with McCormick & Company to create a scaled global flavour powerhouse. This transaction intends to create two stronger, leading companies: a scaled global flavour powerhouse within McCormick and a leading pureplay HPC company within Unilever. The transaction and the nature of work for this project is subject to regulatory approvals, McCormick shareholder approval, and the relevant consultation processes. We are establishing an HR project team to support the next phase of the proposed transaction.
Job Summary
The HR Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of the HR separation programme for Foods. The role is focused on programme coordination, governance, planning, and execution support across multiple HR workstreams including payroll, consultation, communications, organisational design, benefits, people experience, talent and transition activities.
This is a stakeholder-intensive role operating within a fast-paced and evolving programme environment. The successful candidate will work closely with senior HR leaders, functional workstream owners, Employee Relations and market teams to drive alignment across activities, manage interdependencies, monitor risks and milestones, and ensure effective programme governance and delivery.

Coordinate and support delivery of the HR separation programme across multiple HR workstreams including payroll, consultation, communications, organisational design, benefits, people experience, talent acquisition and transition activities.
Manage and coordinate all HR-related data requests across internal stakeholders, external companies, consultancies, and legal advisors, ensuring timely delivery, data accuracy, compliance with privacy requirements, and appropriate governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain integrated programme plans, milestone tracking, logs, governance actions and reporting to ensure delivery remains on track across all workstreams.
Partner closely with HR Business Partners and workstream leads to support delivery of organisational design and people perimeter activities, ensuring alignment, consistency, and timely execution.
Support local information and consultation activities by coordinating timelines, tracking actions, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment across markets and functions.
Work closely with market HR teams, Employee Relations and Communications teams to support the development and execution of employee engagement and change communication plans.
Coordinate inputs and updates across workstreams to ensure leadership reporting, steering committee materials, and programme updates are accurate and timely.
Monitor programme risks, issues, dependencies and decision points, escalating where and supporting mitigation planning.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment between HR and broader programme workstreams including Legal, Finance, IT and Communications.
Provide analytical and operational support through tracking tools, dashboards and reporting to support decision making and programme oversight.
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience supporting or managing large-scale HR transformation, separation, integration or change programmes within complex organisations.
Strong PMO and project management capability, with experience coordinating multiple workstreams, timelines, risks and stakeholders simultaneously.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities and tight timelines.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence across senior leaders, HR teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Comfortable working across a broad range of HR topics including consultation, payroll, communications, organisational design, benefits and employee experience.
Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in high-change environments.
Professional and discreet in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.
