HR Generalist – 12 Month FTC
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am – 4:30pm | Friday, 9am – 3:30pm
Location: Wigan – Fully Office Based

We’re looking for a…
Confident and proactive HR Generalist to join a supportive HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role. You'll be supporting everything from employee relations and recruitment to manager coaching and employee engagement, making a real impact from day one.

About the candidate
You'll be an experienced HR Generalist with a strong understanding of employee relations, HR processes and employment legislation. Confident, approachable and organised, you'll be comfortable advising managers, managing competing priorities and adapting to change. We're looking for a proactive team player who can hit the ground running, with candidates from all industry backgrounds welcome.

What you’ll do

Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
Manage employee relations cases, including absence, conduct, performance and probation.
Prepare documentation and take notes during investigations, meetings and hearings.
Support recruitment, contracts and onboarding processes.
Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and people-related matters.
Maintain accurate HR records and support reporting requirements.
Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
Support the wider HR team with generalist HR activities and process improvements. Benefits
