Job Description - HR Generalist

Are you looking for a new role as a HR professional?

Reed HR are seeking an experienced and proactive HR professional to join our clients team in London. As an HR Generalist, you will manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance with UK employment law. This role requires regular visits to our stores and warehouse, providing a great opportunity to engage directly with our diverse team.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage all stages of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, contract variations, and more, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and timely.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee data and ensure all records are up-to-date in compliance with GDPR.
  • Deliver induction and ongoing training programs to enhance employee capabilities and engagement.
  • Monitor attendance, payroll inputs, and performance data, and produce regular HR reports.
  • Handle employee complaints and grievances professionally, ensuring they are addressed promptly and documented in compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct regular visits to stores and warehouses to proactively communicate with employees, provide feedback on performance and workplace behaviour, and act as a trusted link between staff and management.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices comply with UK labour legislation and company standards.
  • Continuously improve HR policies and processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an HR Generalist/Officer/Advisor (2 years) or HR Assistant/Administrator (3 years).
  • Strong knowledge of UK HR regulations, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with HR software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BS degree in Human Resources or CIPD qualification (Essential).
  • Mandarin speaking (Preferable).
