HR Generalist Location: West Midlands Working pattern: Full-time Reporting to: HR Manager
The Opportunity We are looking for an ambitious HR professional at the beginning of their career who is ready to broaden their experience.
You will ideally have a background in HR administration and be looking for a role that gives you exposure to the wider HR function. This is an opportunity to develop your knowledge, build confidence and gradually take on greater responsibility.
We are looking for someone with the right attitude and potential rather than someone who already has extensive generalist experience.
The Role You will provide day-to-day HR support across the business, initially focusing on accurate and efficient administration while developing your wider HR experience.
The role will include: • Maintaining employee records and HR systems. • Preparing contracts, letters and HR documentation. • Coordinating starters, leavers and employee changes. • Supporting recruitment and onboarding. • Maintaining absence and holiday records. • Responding to routine employee queries. • Assisting with HR reporting and management information. • Supporting the HR Manager with day-to-day people matters. • Contributing to HR projects and process improvements.
As your experience develops, you will gain greater exposure to employee relations, performance management, manager support and other generalist HR activities.
What We're Looking For You will ideally have some previous experience in HR administration, people administration, recruitment or a similar role.

• Proactive and willing to take ownership. • Curious and keen to understand how HR works. • Able to manage competing priorities. • Comfortable asking questions and learning from others. • Genuinely interested in building a career in HR.
CIPD qualification or study towards CIPD would be advantageous but is not essential.
Development & Progression This role is designed for someone who wants to move beyond HR administration and develop into a broader HR professional.
You will work closely with the HR Team and gain practical experience across different areas of HR. As your capability increases, so will your level of responsibility. Your development and responsibilities will be reviewed as you progress.
What Success Looks Like We want someone who becomes increasingly confident, capable and independent throughout their first year.
