Job Description - HR Graduate / Administrator

  • HR Graduate / Administrator
  • Hybrid working: 4 days on-site / 1 day from home
  • Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
  • Based: Coventry

Are you looking to develop your career in HR within a dynamic and supportive environment? We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Graduate / Administrator to join our global manufacturing / engineering business based in Coventry.

In this role, you'll provide high-quality administrative and support services, acting with discretion and integrity at all times. You'll be a key part of the wider HR team, delivering accurate and efficient services to internal and external stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is looking to grow and progress within the profession- either an HR Graduate with one years placement experience or an experienced HR Administrator looking to progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the HR shared inbox and calls to ensure high-quality service is provided.
  • Respond to queries in line with service level agreements and escalate where necessary.
  • Manage HR systems to process employee data, changes, and organisational updates.
  • Support recruitment administration, including raising requisitions and liaising with external providers.
  • Prepare and issue documentation related to employment changes and contracts.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, including employee files, right to work documents, and benefits information.
  • Assist with payroll data processing and coordination with Finance and HR teams.
  • Support onboarding, deliver HR inductions, and monitor probationary periods.
  • Work with third-party providers on background checks and compliance matters.
  • Create and distribute employee recognition communications (e.g., long service awards).
  • Contribute to policy and process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Produce HR reports and data analysis to support site leadership.

Key Background:

  • Someone eager to build a career in HR with a passion for delivering exceptional administrative support.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A professional and discreet approach to handling confidential information.
  • One year's previous HR experience minimum (could be an intern placement) and ideally relevant education (e.g., HR degree or CIPD qualification).
