Job Description - HR Manager

Our client is a forward thinking and impressive Professional Services business based in London and an excellent opportunity has arisen to join a fabulous HR leader for a 12 Month FTC in their modern City office.

You will have an opportunity to work with an experienced, passionate and friendly HR leader to provide excellent HR support, in collaboration with the wider HR team. The role will also involve various strategic and project work.

A full time role paying up to £80,000 with Hybrid working (4 days in the office) your responsibilities will include

  • Delivery of outstanding HR service, working closely with the HR Advisor and HR Administrators
  • Provide one to one advice, guidance and coaching to partners and employees on all HR matters.
  • Advise on employee relations matters across all areas of the business, with support from the Senior HR Manager on complex cases if needed
  • Supporting heads of departments with the annual review process including delivery of training.
  • Advise on HR policy, making or recommending appropriate decisions.
  • To work with partners and business services on key initiatives and implementation of key priorities.
  • To provide input into the HR strategy and to assist with initiatives, working closely with the HR team.
  • Co-ordination and support of the wellbeing strategy
  • Involvement in Diversity and Inclusion initiatives
  • To support on HR projects, such as the implementation of the new HRIS.
  • Line management and support of HR Administrators.

Job skills and qualifications:

  • Proven HR knowledge and experience at manager level or ready to step up from HRBP.
  • Experience in a professional services organisation and/or law firm is desirable.
  • A strong stakeholder service attitude. Being able to deal with demanding stakeholders and build creditability, confidence and effective working relationships with senior stakeholders is imperative.
  • Well-developed and sophisticated written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and must be able to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Hands of experience in the doing of HR work including management of ER cases and projects
  • Happy to help in other HR lines during peak season including Recruitment and Comps and Benefits
  • Shows sound judgement and decision-making skills; acts within boundaries.
  • Shows commitment, passion and enthusiasm.
  • Is a respectful, reliable and supportive team player.
  • Reflects the firm’s culture and represents the firm appropriately
  • Ideally be immediately available or 1 weeks notice and can commit to a 12 month FTC
