Job Description - HR Manager

Eaton\u2019s plant in Luton is manufacturing electrical products to control, operate and protect assets in harsh and hazardous environments. Our products are used in all types of locations (hazardous and general), from offshore oil and gas platforms, power production plants and petrochemical installations to pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and other manufacturing/process plants. We are now looking for a HR Manager who report into the site manager and influence the strateagic direction of the plant and support the long term plans for the facility of over 170 employees.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nAs the HR Manager, you will have the responsibility to coordinate, and maintain HR policies and procedures for the Human Resources Department in accordance with legal, divisional and corporate guidelines. You will therefore coordinate, prioritize, manage and deliver corporate, sector, group, regional and divisional HR projects across the Luton site. You will also be the primary HR contact for the functional team including R\u0026D, Division Finance and Sales \u0026 Marketing departments located at Luton, in addition to smaller teams based in Chessington.\n\nBuild talent capability \nLead talent processes for goal and development plan setting, assessment of talent, succession planning, training / development plans, employee survey / engagement actions and I\u0026D activities \nCoach managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools \nLead employee relations matters across the site \nOversee OAD activities \nProvide advice and guidance to leaders on employment and employee relations issues \nDevelop HR policies, practices and programs \nDrive functional productivity and effectiveness actions to increase collaboration, integration and functional alignment \nPromote continuous improvement\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nCIPD Level 7 qualifications \nExperience working in a manufacturing environment in a senior HR role \nEmployment law knowledge \nManagerial skills in budgeting, wage and salary administration and employee relations \nIdeally experienced in a global/matrixed environment\n\n## Skills:\n\nStrong integrity and experience in handling confidential and sensitive information \nGood change management skills to drive sustained cultural change \nStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to partner with different audiences\n\n## What we offer:\n\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package\n\nChallenging projects in dynamic collaborative team\n\nWe make your aspirations matter \u2013 Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possible\n\nWe make your growth matter - We invest in our employees for the long term \u2013 not just with salary and benefits, but with ongoing learning and development opportunities made available through Eaton University\n\nWe make your contributions matter - reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability are at the core of our dedication to improving people\u2019s lives and the environment through power management technologies\n\nWe make your wellbeing matter \u2013 We put your health and safety first.
