Lead and develop the full people agenda in a standalone HR Manager role, shaping everything from payroll and benefits to culture and employee relations. You'll own the employee lifecycle end to end, with real influence over how HR strategy, policies, and processes support the wider business.

Working Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week.
The role
As HR Manager, you will provide both strategic and hands-on HR support across the organisation, covering the full range of people-related activity. The role exists to attract, develop, and retain talented people, while giving managers confident, practical HR guidance and keeping processes robust across the employee lifecycle. You'll have ownership of HR strategy, policies, and programmes, ensuring HR practices are compliant, values-led, and aligned with business goals.
What you'll be doing * Collating and processing monthly payroll information and managing pension reporting with the external payroll provider. * Managing reward and recognition, including private healthcare, life assurance, benefit schemes, and relationships with benefit providers. * Leading recruitment and onboarding: advertising roles, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, headhunting, right to work checks, offers, contracts, references, and inductions. * Supporting performance management, development pathways, succession planning, management training, and LMS and training records. * Overseeing the HR system for accurate employee data, holidays, absence, overtime, and reporting, and training managers to use it effectively. * Managing employee relations cases, coaching managers, ensuring legal compliance, reviewing and updating HR policies, leading DEI initiatives, and coordinating ISO audits and offboarding.
What we're looking for * CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) and proven experience as an HR Manager. * Comfortable operating in a standalone HR role, with confidence to advise senior leaders and managers. * Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice, and current HR trends. * Demonstrated experience managing employee relations cases from start to resolution. * Proficiency with HR systems and Microsoft Office applications. * Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust at all levels. * High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information. * Full driving licence.
