An exciting opportunity has become available for a proactive HR Officer to join an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Reading
from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position within a well-established operations and HR team.

About the Role

The HR Officer will support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, contract preparation, HR record-keeping, policy administration, DBS processing, and maintaining the SCR. The role requires excellent accuracy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work professionally with teaching and support staff across the school.

Experience and Qualifications

• Strong HR administration background (education sector preferred)


• Excellent knowledge of safer recruitment and safeguarding compliance


• Highly organised with attention to detail


• HRIS experience (e.g., SIMS, Bromcom, iTrent) desirable


• CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience beneficial
