To deliver HR services and support to Barclays colleagues, candidates, alumni and third-party vendors.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

In this role, you will act as a key project support partner, providing hands-on coordination and delivery across a range of programme activities. You will manage project systems and documentation, track actions, maintain risk and issue logs, and support the effective running of project meetings occasionally chairing mid‑level sessions to drive progress. You will coordinate status updates, ensure milestones are delivered on time, and apply strong data analysis skills to inform planning, reporting, and decision-making. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, PMO, and business leads to ensure programme activities are well governed, well documented, and aligned to strategic objectives.
You will support programme leaders by taking ownership of defined project outputs and ensuring they are delivered to the required quality. You will understand and support the management of programme budgets, undertake scenario modelling and planning, and help ensure workstreams progress smoothly from design through to implementation, handover, and benefits measurement. In this role, you will establish and maintain appropriate governance structures, escalating or resolving risks and issues in line with organisational standards. You will also manage stakeholder relationships, enabling successful adoption of new ways of working and facilitating negotiation or mediation where required to support decision-making and programme delivery.
To be successful as a HR Project Assistant – Secondment until end of December 2026, you should have experience with:
Project Management experience or exposure to structured programme delivery.
Data analysis capability (comfortable with Excel, tracking tools, reporting).
Stakeholder management across multiple levels.
Experience supporting operating model or transformation activity.
Strong organisational and documentation skills.
HR experience or understanding of HR processes is desirable.
