HSE Advisor

HSE Advisor - Manufacturing | Manchester Mon-Fri (37 hrs)

We're working with a leading manufacturing business based in Manchester that's looking to bring on an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor. This is a hands-on, site-based role reporting to the Head of HSEE, ideal for someone passionate about driving continuous HSE improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You'll be responsible for providing day-to-day HSE support, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO standards (45001, 14001, 50001). Great opportunity for someone from a manufacturing or engineering background looking to take ownership and grow within a stable business.

• Provide HSE support and guidance across the site
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training
• Maintain compliance with UK HSE legislation (e.g. COSHH, RIDDOR, PUWER)
• Support ISO systems (45001, 14001, 50001)
• Monitor HSE KPIs and drive continuous improvement
• Support environmental audits, reporting, and A2 permit compliance
• Promote sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
• HSE experience in manufacturing or engineering
• Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation
• Confident communicator with strong influencing skills
• Skilled in risk assessments, audits & incident investigations

Desirable:

• NEBOSH Diploma / TechIOSH or GradIOSH
• ISO systems experience (45001, 14001, 50001)
• Environmental/energy management knowledge
