HSE Coordinator

My client is looking for someone who shares their passion for safety, sustainability and people. As Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator you’ll play a vital role in making sure the workplace is safe, compliant and environmentally responsible. This isn’t just about ticking boxes – it’s about building a culture where health and safety are at the heart of everything they do.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in shaping and delivering the HSE strategy across the business. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring legal obligations and accreditation requirements are met, while also finding practical ways to reduce risks and improve the way the business works. One day you might be leading an investigation into an incident or running a safety inspection, the next you could be delivering training sessions, supporting the Health & Safety Committee, or driving forward sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

My client is looking for someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved on the ground, but who can also think strategically and influence at every level of the business. To succeed, you’ll need to be NEBOSH qualified (ideally with a Diploma), trained in internal audits and preferably HACCP Level 3, and a trained first aider. You’ll bring proven experience within HSE, with a solid understanding of legislation and strong knowledge of standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, BRCGS, EcoVadis and SMETA 4-Pillar. Just as important are your communication and leadership skills – you’ll need to engage colleagues across the business and inspire them to take ownership of health and safety.
