Job Description - HSE Manager

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager
Location: Wrexham, UK
Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits
Permanent, Full - time Position

Owen Daniels Consultancy is supporting a global leader in manufacturing in their search for a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager to join their high-performing team based in Wrexham.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving site-wide health, safety, and environmental strategy – with a strong focus on Zero Harm, legal compliance, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, high-tech production environment.

HSE Manager – Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of the Zero Harm HSE strategy on site.
Act as the competent person for all Health, Safety & Environmental matters in the UK.
Maintain and improve the HSE Management System in line with UK regulations.
Support the site with audits, training, incident investigation, and risk reduction.
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and all environmental legislation.
Drive continuous improvement through metrics, reporting, and cultural change.
Collaborate cross-functionally on new products, processes, and site expansions.

HSE Manager – Experience & Qualifications:

NEBOSH Certificate (essential); NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable).
Proven track record as an HSE Manager in manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practices.
ISO 14001 experience (preferred).
Hands-on experience with risk assessments, investigations, audits, and safety programs.
