HSE Manager

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

📍 Tarleton, PR4 | Monday-Friday | Up to £55,000 per annum

We are looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join a busy manufacturing and production environment in Tarleton.

This is a key role responsible for driving a strong health and safety culture, ensuring legal compliance and supporting continuous improvement across health, safety, environmental and sustainability practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the HSE improvement plan.
Conduct and review risk assessments, including COSHH, PUWER, fire and manual handling.
Carry out regular HSE audits and workplace inspections.
Lead accident, near-miss and incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks.
Manage employee, contractor and agency worker inductions.
Oversee contractor approval, RAMS and permit-to-work processes.
Maintain HSE records, reporting and compliance documentation.
Manage PPE requirements and relevant HSE training.
Support environmental and sustainability initiatives and compliance.
Lead and develop the Health & Safety Advisor.

About You

2+ years' H&S experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
NEBOSH National General Certificate - Working towards a Level 6 Diploma.
Minimum Affiliate IOSH, working towards CertIOSH.
Experience with a range of workplace risk assessments.
Strong HSE training and communication skills.
Environmental and sustainability experience
ISO 9001, 14001 and/or 45001 experience
Previous staff management experience.You will be a proactive, organised and confident HSE professional with a passion for driving positive change and building strong relationships at all levels.

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Location: Tarleton, PR4
Working hours: Monday to Friday
