HSEQ Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) Manager based in Teesside. This position is ideal for a motivated professional seeking to oversee and enhance HSEQ standards across multiple engineering projects throughout the UK. The successful candidate will play a central role in maintaining robust management systems and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement within a leading structural steel organisation.

Location and Working Pattern:
Teesside, with regular travel to sites across the UK.

Client Overview:
Our client is a respected and rapidly expanding structural engineering business delivering turnkey design, fabrication, and installation projects across multiple sectors including energy, infrastructure, and industrial manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the coordination and delivery of HSEQ requirements across several operational sites.
Manage and maintain company HSE management systems aligned with OHSAS 45001:2018.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and drive ongoing process improvements.
Lead and participate in client‑facing meetings, promoting collaborative and transparent communication.
Monitor and review on‑site HSEQ performance to support a safe and efficient working environment.
Provide guidance to project teams and subcontractors to maintain high safety and quality standards.
Support continuous development of policies and procedures to align with current legislation.
Act as the focal point for all HSEQ matters within the organisation.Must‑have Requirements:

Proven experience in HSEQ management within the construction or engineering sectors.
Strong working knowledge of legislative and regulatory compliance for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites and ensure consistent application of HSEQ protocols.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with confidence in client‑facing situations.Nice‑to‑have Skills:

Experience with large‑scale industrial or structural steel projects.
Additional certifications related to auditing or safety management systems.
