HSQE Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a HSQE Manager based in Bedford to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis.

Summary of the HSQE Manager

Salary: £55,000 per annum
Location: Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:15am - 4:45pm, Fridays 8:15am - 1:45pm

Our client is a global engineering company that has seen continuous growth for several decades.

Responsibilities of the HSQE Manager

• Develop and maintain Business Management System.
• Ensure all IOS9001, ISO14001, Safe Contractor Scheme and other accreditations are maintained and achieved.
• Travel between sites and suppliers to drliver supplier and product Quality Assurance, including QA governance.
• Lead Product Quality related cost down initiatives.
• Ensure audits are maintained and achieved.
• Improve the site's HSQE management programme and systems.
• Investigate incidents, identifying root cause and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Facilitate risk assessments, COSHH assessments, PWER, DSEAR etc.
• Complete external pre-qualification questionnaires and create Quality & Safety alerts.

Requirements for a successful HSQE Manager

• Strong understanding of supplier quality assurance in the EU.
• Proven experience as a HSQE Manager in a manufacturing environment with a bias towards Quality management and assurance.
• Internal Auditor.
• NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.
• CQI Certificate/Diploma in Quality Management.
• Experience working to ISO9001, 14001, 18001/45001.
• Proven experience in driving changes and improvements.
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Analytical with the ability to interpret detailed information and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
