DGNZ Correspondence Hub are a new centralised team who manage, process and produce all Freedom of Information (FoI) and Environmental Information Requests (EIR) for 5 core Directorates (Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Economy, Directorate for Energy and Climate Change, Environment and Forestry Directorate, Marine Directorate and Offshore Wind Directorate) across Directorate General Net Zero (DGNZ)
Based within the Correspondence Hub Team, our Hub Manager roles offer the unique opportunity to engage in a cross cutting Operational Delivery role by delivering a high volume of quality FOI and EIR casework.
This is a very challenging role, that offers autonomy in how you manage your workload, with the opportunity to engage with stakeholders at all levels not only across DGNZ but also the wider Scottish Government, UK Government and Devolved Administrations. It also provides you the opportunity to gain insight and experience in exciting and high-profile policy areas.
Role and Key Responsibilities
As one of 3 Hub Managers you will play a pivotal role in managing FOI and EIR casework, as well as providing advice and guidance across 5 core DGNZ Directorates.
You will be responsible for managing a small team of case handlers and provide support to the Hub Lead, assisting in the coordination and assignment of FOI/EIR and review cases within the statutory time frames. You will also need to build and develop relationships with all grades across the DG. The skills and experience you bring will help us to continue to deliver a first-class experience to our stakeholders.
Working pattern
This role is a permanent level transfer position.
