Job Description - Human Resources Manager

Full-time | West Cornwall | Up to £35,000 per annum

Well Placed HR are delighted to be working exclusively once again with a valued client, recruiting for a full-time HR Manager to support two distinct and equally fascinating businesses. This permanent position will be based across sites in Hayle and Truro.

The Hayle-based company operates in the fast-paced technology sector, while the Truro business is within the education field—very different environments, which makes this a truly unique and varied opportunity!

This is a broad and hands-on generalist role that will suit a highly organised, proactive HR professional with excellent multitasking skills. You’ll provide structured HR advice and support across both organisations, helping to develop and maintain robust processes and policies that reflect best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and reporting of monthly HR metrics
  • End-to-end employee relations support, including advice to managers and employees
  • Management of recruitment, onboarding, and employee retention strategies
  • Updating and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and documenting staff attendance
  • Partnering with department heads to ensure effective HR support
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all employee HR queries
  • Ensuring compliance with current employment legislation
  • Maintaining up-to-date employee records and HR documentation

What We’re Looking For:

  • An experienced HR generalist with SME background preferred
  • Exposure to manufacturing or education sectors is desirable, but not essential
  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 (or working towards), but we’re open-minded
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law
  • Proven ability to review and improve HR processes
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive, professional, and approachable attitude

This is a fantastic opportunity to join two innovative businesses in a role where no two days will be the same. If you enjoy variety, autonomy, and making a real impact, we’d love to hear from you! Please contact Carly Kellow for more information - Reference CK10473a
