Mind Partners is an executive search firm with offices in London, New York, and Paris. We are now partnering with a global pharmaceutical group with a strong international presence in 150 countries to find their new HR Manager UK & Ireland.The group has a revenue of about 4.7 billion euros.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing Human Resources and Facilities functions to provide proactive, professional support to the UK subsidiary - Aligning HR strategy with business goals -Providing support to the Managing Director and guidance to all staff on HR activities - Creating an environment and culture that fosters recruitment, development, and retention of talented individuals. Prepare and agree with the Managing Director annually on HR and training plans to support the organization's strategic aims. Identify, design, and implement strategic HR projects. Support change management processes. Liaison with HR counterparts, including Head Office in Paris (ORS), real estate operations, and legal and compliance departments.
General To act as a business partner to all managers and build positive relationships, ensure consistency of approach, and develop an understanding of the importance of good HR practice. To advise management of HR-related issues. Ensure that all HR processes (e.g. policies and procedures) are fit for purpose. Ensure compliance with current employment law and provide sound legislative advice to managers. To ensure health and safety procedures are adequate and comply with Health & Safety legislation.
Recruitment Ensure efficient and cost-effective recruitment processes, including filtering applications, assisting with advertising and selection, interviewing potential staff, and managing new appointments. Work with the leadership team to forecast resource needs and fulfil succession planning requirements.
Learning & Development To lead employees' training and development plan to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to satisfy the company’s operational objectives and the motivation and retention of key personnel.
Employee relations Maintain a positive employment climate through effective communication. Support managers in HR activities and manage complex employee relations
Engagement survey To lead and manage all aspects of employee engagement, including surveys, focus groups, and retention strategies. Collaborate with teams to align engagement initiatives with company goals. Continuously monitor and improve engagement processes.
Compensation & benefits Coordinate with HRBP to develop and maintain employee benefits packages, analyze market data for competitiveness, manage annual salary reviews, and oversee pension and payroll activities.
Facilities Work with the HR Team to manage premises, security, office services, equipment, and health and safety efficiently and safely.
CSR Leads To lead Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for the company, including ethical, environmentally friendly, and community-minded initiatives in line with company objectives.
Qualifications • CIPD Level 7 qualification or an HR-related degree. • 5 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and health technology sectors. • Ability to work in the office 3 days a week.
