Position Summary

The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills of students through the delivery of engaging and comprehensive Humanities lessons. The role entails:

• Designing and implementing dynamic lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy across Key Stages 3 and 4.


• Creating a stimulating learning environment that fosters intellectual curiosity, encourages active participation, and supports diverse learning styles.


• Assessing student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback to guide their development.


• Collaborating with colleagues within the Humanities department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.


• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current educational research and pedagogical approaches.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant Humanities subject, such as History, Geography, or Social Studies.


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.


• Demonstrated experience teaching Humanities at the secondary level.


• A passion for the Humanities and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
