Hydrologist

My client, an independent, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Hydrologist to join their growing team of experts in the beautiful Scottish capital of Edinburgh.

Essential Criteria:

- A Degree in Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, or related field

- Demonstrable experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, and SuDS

- Experience of drainage design and sewerage connections

- Good working knowledge of agreements S104 and S106, and their relevant applications within the industry

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage WinDES, and other, similar software packages

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Hydrologist to possess the following skills:

- An excellent general knowledge of mathematics

- Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team

In the diverse role of Hydrologist, you will join a specialist team of experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:

- Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations

- Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects

- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, and other agreements

- Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
