Hygiene Operative

Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Our Merthyr site are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly Hygiene team, this is a full time, permanent position, working 5.00am to 5.00pm - 3 days on / 3 days on £12.40 per hour.

As part of Hygiene Team your daily tasks will include :

• Keeping the primary staffing areas of the factory clean and tidy whilst meeting health and safety standards.
• Dealing with clean and dirty laundry - unloading clean uniform into the correct places and sizes, folding neatly and organising the disposal of the soiled laundry items which are collected from site.
• You will be required to maintain the staff areas by keeping them hygienically clean and tidy - this will include disinfecting the toilet areas., washing the floors, locker rooms and corridors.

• Waste disposal, sweep floors/ wash floors and walls and adhere to PPE policies;
• Effective communication with Supervisor/Team Leaders.
