Hygiene Supervisor

• Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 Per Annum (DOE)
• Monday-Friday, 7.30am-4pm

Reed Food & FMCG are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Supervisor to join a Food Manufacturing Business in the Gloucester area. Hygiene experience in a Food Manufacturing environment is preferred however not essential, our client is looking for a great leader who can upskill their team. Someone with previous supervisory experience in a Food or FMCG environment would be ideal for this role.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Provide clear leadership, mentoring, and training to the hygiene team, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
• Conduct pre- and post-cleaning audits to verify that the correct standards are achieved.
• Undertake performance reviews and manage performance requirements for team members.
• Develop and enhance daily, weekly, and monthly hygiene schedules.
• Create and manage systems and procedures for all hygiene team activities, including SOPs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven knowledge of Food Safety.
• Experience in cleaning within an industrial food production environment.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising, managing, and motivating a hygiene team.
• Familiarity with HACCP, Basic Food Hygiene, and COSHH is desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proactive and flexible, with a 'can-do' attitude and a commitment to delivering the best possible customer service.
• Ability to operate independently, taking ownership and accountability.
