Role Description:

The Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for aiding and supporting the Hygiene Manager. They are expected to support the wider Hygiene Team, both on the night and day shift, driving engagement and supporting training and development where possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and monitoring cleaning schedules.


• Creating and distributing work schedules for the team.


• Performing daily inspections of the factory and reporting any irregularities.


• Implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory authorities.


• Providing feedback to the team on any changes and any areas of improvement.


• Monitoring the preparation and use of cleaning chemicals.


• Training the team and supporting with refresher workshops where necessary.


• Supporting the manager with the creation of rotas.


• In the absence of the Hygiene Manager, attending meetings and supporting other departments when necessary.


• Supporting the team with hygiene tasks, including stripping down and cleaning the lines.

The ideal candidate:

• The ideal candidate must have:


• Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry.


• Previous experience managing and coaching a team.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Detailed knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Flexible to meet the operations needs of the team.

Preferred qualifications:

• Food Safety Level 2


• COSHH

Working Hours:

• Tuesday to Friday 8 hour per day (between 6am to 6pm) and Saturday 12 hours, 6am to 6pm.


• Site based.


• Shift cover is expected on occasion.


• Overtime may be offered depending on business need, but is optional.
