IBM Z SME / Solution Architect - GitLab, IBM DDB & UCD Toolchain Setup

Location: Remote delivery - No geographical restrictions

Rate: Negotiable/Market Day Rate (Inside IR35)

Our leading consultancy client is setting up a GitLab-based DevOps toolchain (with IBM DBB + UCD) across 4 different Business Units (countries) - each with its own mainframe environment. To provide detailed setup inputs (precise software, network, etc. details).

The successful candidate will be an experienced IBM Z Specialist, with hands-on experience setting up GitLab-based mainframe toolchains.

Program: Programme GitLab-based IBM Z DevOps toolchain setup across four countries using IBM DDB and IBM UrbanCode Deploy.

Engagement focus: Hands-on toolchain setup leadership, infrastructure input definition, environment design and delivery coordination.

The ideal candidate will have experience in most of the following:

Strong IBM Z/OS integration knowledge across build, deployment, security and connectivity requirements.
Ability to define precise infrastructure setup inputs, including software prerequisites, network connectivity, ports, certifications, access, service accounts and operational dependencies
Hands-on experience setting up GitLab-based mainframe toolchains (ideally using IBM Dependency Based Build and IBM UrbanCode Deploy)
Strong hands-on experience in setting up a similar GitLab-based Mainframe DevOps toolchain to lead the toolchain setup exercise
Experience with hands-on toolchain setup across multiple environments or business units
Practical IBM Dependency Based Build experience, including integration into a CI/CD pipeline
Practical IBM UrbanCode Deploy experience for controlled mainframe deployment and promotion workflowsIf your profile demonstrates strong and recent experience in the above areas - please submit your application to Jackie Dean at TXP for consideration
