Our Water company client is seeking an Operational Technology/ICA Engineer based in Havant on a permanent basis.
Our client are seeking a proactive and solutions-focused OT Engineer to join their Production Department. This role is key to designing, developing, and optimising Operational Technology systems across water production assets.
You will work closely with Operations and Technical teams to improve reliability, efficiency, resilience, and safety across critical infrastructure while contributing to water quality and environmental goals. Experience with ICA including PLC/HMI/SCADA is essential.
The role is based in Havant with travel required across Hampshire and West Sussex.
Responsibilities
Provide specialist EICA/OT support across water treatment and network assets Deliver OT system improvements and optimisation initiatives, including: Minor OT/ICS project implementation System upgrades and enhancements Performance and reliability improvements Process and control modifications Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) Commission OT systems and ensure effective handover into operations Maintain change control for: Software PLC/HMI/SCADA/GeoSCADA systems Electronic documentation Monitor and support OT cyber security systems Perform advanced fault finding and diagnostics on Industrial Control Systems Provide hands-on operational and reactive support when required Deliver training, mentoring, and technical guidance to colleagues
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Experience in Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial IT environments Strong PLC, HMI, and SCADA development and programming experience Proven experience working with engineering/project documentation Advanced knowledge of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Understanding of OT communications and networking HNC/HND in Electronic Engineering or Control Systems Engineering Full UK driving licence Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) Experience within water or utilities sector Familiarity with GeoSCADA systems Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
