Job Description - ICT Field Support Engineer

A well-established charity partnership between two hospices is looking for an ICT Field Support Engineer to provide cover to Selly Park area and Erdington Locations. Along with a basic salary of £42,000 per annum, you will receive an excellent benefits package, plus travelling expenses fully reimbursed above DVLA standard. 

What you’ll be doing as ICT Field Support Engineer:
You will track, troubleshoot, and resolve requests while meeting SLAs. Key to success is a wealth of knowledge spanning various technologies and ability to use these skills to troubleshoot and deliver five-star solutions that keep people productive in their work. 

Customer service is paramount, so excellent customer facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively are expected. Friendly tech-savviness should truly shine here. 

This role requires flexibility, in particular, cross-site working at both hospice locations, and occasional ‘out of usual office hours’ working and on-site presence at other locations when necessary. 

Collaboration is a core aspect of the role and responsibilities, whether this is through working with fellow professionals to refine troubleshooting processes, document key activities and keep systems running smoothly, or to provide accurate insights, information and solutions for the benefit of continuous improvement, growth and efficiencies in the service. 

We’re looking for an ICT Field Support Engineer with:
  • Experience in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support.
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Office 365, Azure, Exchange, Intune, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking (switches, firewalls, VLANs, etc.) is crucial.
  • Strong customer relationship, communication and customer & delivery skills and focus, meeting and exceeding customer expectations, with the high standards of professionalism.
  • experience managing field service tickets, whilst meeting SLAs, which range from handling basic security and network administration to responding to incidents and service requests and troubleshooting and fixing technical faults and issues.
  • Competent in linking issues raised with broad technical knowledge, and in turn efficiently diagnose issues, explain technical details clearly and achieve positive solutions.
