What will you be doing? •Taking ownership of the company's ICT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments •Acting as technical lead for ICT, setting direction and making key technical decisions •Managing and developing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Azure, Intune, Windows Server and Active Directory •Designing systems and solutions to meet business requirements •Delivering ICT projects from planning through to implementation •Shaping the technology roadmap and driving service improvements •Managing identity and access, and supporting Cyber Essentials compliance •Owning disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements •Managing relationships with IT vendors and suppliers
Where you'll be doing it? You'll be joining a long-established engineering and environmental services business with a strong track record in the nuclear sector. Founded in the 1980s, the business now employs around 200 people across three business areas, working at sites across the UK from its head office in Chorley. The role is office based Monday to Thursday (07:30 - 16:45), with working Fridays (07:30 - 12:30) done from home. What you'll need: •Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure •Solid Windows Server and Active Directory experience •Experience managing devices with Intune •Experience running hybrid (on-premise and cloud) infrastructure •Experience acting as technical lead for ICT systems •Experience planning and maintaining disaster recovery
Desirable: •Infrastructure ownership, system design and solution design •Project delivery and technology roadmap planning •Service improvement •Cyber Essentials and identity & access management •Vendor management and business continuity planning
