Location: Birmingham, B4

Hours: Monday - Friday 21 Hours

Hourly rate: Annual salary £15,233.

Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Process referrals according to local procedures
• Manage a caseload of service users, who have been affected by Domestic Violence. Helping them to maintain or acquire accommodation and community support services.
• Support service users who attend drop-in sessions
• Provide short term service to meet victims of Domestic Abuse needs.
• Support and empower service users to facilitate their understands of the impacts of Domestic Violence
• Carry out risk assessments and safety planning with women fleeing Domestic Abuse.
• Undertake initial inquiries & making referrals to appropriate safeguarding agencies for people with no recourse to public funds.

Person Specification:

• IDVA Qualified OR at least 1 years' experience working as a Domestic Abuse Advocate.
• Experience of working with people affected by domestic abuse and/or in housing need
• Experience of completing assessments, including risk, formulating action plans and managing a caseload.
• Clear Enhanced DBS
