Job Description - IFA Administrator

Location: Coggeshall, Essex (Office-based)
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

An established financial planning firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IFA Administrator to join their Coggeshall-based team. This opportunity sits within a small, collaborative office environment supporting experienced Independent Financial Advisers, where high standards of client service and operational efficiency are core to the business.

This is a key support role, ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience within financial services administration, particularly those familiar with adviser support functions. You’ll work closely in a small knit team of advisers and administrators to ensure accurate, compliant and timely handling of client affairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and submitting Letters of Authority (LOAs)

  • Processing new business applications across a range of financial products

  • Handling investment and pension product transfers

  • Updating and maintaining CRM systems with client and case data

  • Assisting with ongoing client servicing and communication

  • Preparing client review packs in advance of annual meetings

  • Liaising with providers and supporting the wider administration team as needed

What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in a financial planning or wealth management environment

  • Good understanding of core IFA administrative processes

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team

  • Confident using financial CRM systems and Microsoft Office

Interview Process:
  • Stage 1: Initial video interview via Microsoft Teams

  • Stage 2: Final in-person interview at the Coggeshall office
