Job Title: Senior IICS & SQL Developer
Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid – 3 Days in Office per Week)
Engagement Type: Contract

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Developer with a strong background in Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and SQL development using PostgreSQL. This role requires hands-on expertise in data integration, transformation, and orchestration, with proven ability to work in fast-paced, Agile environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in IICS and SQL and demonstrate excellent leadership and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data integration solutions using Informatica IICS.

Write complex SQL queries and procedures using PostgreSQL for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.

Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.

Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks in ETL pipelines and databases.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies – sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.

Mentor and lead junior developers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and best practices within the team.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote automation wherever possible.

Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IICS (Cloud Data Integration, Application Integration, etc.).

Strong experience in SQL development using PostgreSQL – writing complex joins, subqueries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.

Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance.

Proven experience working in Agile development environments, including CI/CD pipelines and iterative delivery.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

Strong team management or team leadership experience – with the ability to coordinate, motivate, and guide a technical team.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) in relation to data services.

Informatica certifications (Cloud or On-Premise) are a plus.

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or other Agile project management tools.
