Import Freight Forwarding Operator (NVOCC)

Location: Bradford
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 08:30am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

A growing NVOCC freight forwarding company based in Bradford is looking to recruit an experienced Import Freight Forwarding Operator to join its operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a minimum of 2 years' import freight forwarding experience who is looking to join a supportive and established business with opportunities for future development.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing import shipments from origin through to delivery.

* Processing pre-alerts and maintaining shipment files.

* Coordinating deliveries with customers and hauliers.

* Liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers.

* Ensuring accurate documentation and operational updates.

* Supporting customs clearance processes where required.

* Managing key customer accounts and maintaining excellent service levels.

Skills & Experience

* Minimum 2 years' experience in Import Freight Forwarding.

* NVOCC experience would be advantageous.

* Customs entry experience beneficial but not essential.

* Sigma system experience would be a bonus.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
