Import/Export Logistics Support

Job Description

We are seeking an Import/Export Logistics Support to join our team at Pirelli. The successful candidate will work in-house at Pirelli to support and liaise between Metro and Pirelli.

The role
Develop and build relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to clients.
Manage the Middle Eastern Exports from UK factory, checking instructions from HQ.
Take requests and queries from the customs flow inbound and outbound and resolve them effectively and efficiently within agreed response times.
Ensure stock transfers between WHs arrive when planned and needed.
Support the commercial result with late night month end invoicing.
Manage the inbound deliveries into the local warehouse in the Slot Management tool (SMT), liaising with suppliers and the 3PL provider to insure smooth changeovers.
Liaise with 3rd parties, hauliers, HQ, warehouse operators.
Cover for Export colleagues for the Far Eastern markets when needed.
Raise purchase orders for certain suppliers.
Take ownership of the reverse logistics procedures managing

collections/refusals/delivery

discrepancies and investigating with the relevant parties to ensure stock reconciliation and closing off the process by issuing relevant documents to the end customer.
POD management with all 3PL’s
Overseeing the implementation of the EPOD.

What we’re looking for
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Logistics or Engineering.
Previous experience in freight forwarding / logistics would be advantageous.
SAP G20 skills would be advantageous.
Good verbal and written communication, to provide a professional image to customers and suppliers.
Comfortable in an international environment.
IT literate with excellent excel skills.
The capacity to work in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm when under pressure.
The ability to instruct a global network of agents, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers.
The skill to prioritise a large number of tasks to ensure accuracy, and deliver results with great attention to detail and a high sense of urgency.
A positive attitude and good problem-solving skills and to apply lessons learned.
The drive to succeed and want to make a contribution to the business.
