The successful Improvement Engineer will play a key role in driving operational excellence, improving equipment reliability and enhancing manufacturing performance across a highly automated production environment.
You will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, implementing technical improvements and supporting reliability initiatives across electrical, controls and mechanical systems.
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Improvement Engineer
Previous experience within a manufacturing or automated production environment. Continuous improvement background within an industrial setting. Experience working with electrical controls, automation and mechanical systems. Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification.
Essential Requirements for the Improvement Engineer
Electrical fault-finding and controls experience. Experience working with PLC systems such as Siemens or Allen Bradley. Knowledge of HMI platforms including Keyence and Omron. Strong mechanical understanding with experience improving equipment reliability. Experience supporting preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
Requirements for the Improvement Engineer
Experience carrying out equipment modifications to improve efficiency, reliability and safety. Exposure to panel building, wiring and industrial controls. Knowledge of automated manufacturing environments. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to engineering challenges. Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
