Are you ready to drive automation and standardisation within Land Freight as an Operations Improvement Manager? We're seeking someone to join us, supporting our Head of Business Services in executing local and regional initiatives that make a real impact.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Location: Flexible. Consideration given to Nuneaton, Manchester, Bradford, as regular places of work. Regular travel to other branches in the UK and Ireland is required.
What will you be doing?
Driving local and regional initiatives to improve automation and standardisation. Implement and enhance processes within the Business Service function, from order processing to invoicing. Act as Project Lead on assigned initiatives, ensuring smooth execution. Drive improvement at local branch level to meet targets effectively. Improve productivity, quality, and efficiency across all areas of Business Services with clear impact on KPISs. Collaborate with Business Architecture to automate reports/data required for operations. Identify and eliminate manual activities, enhancing efficiency. Maintain our functional roadmap and project management trackers. Generate monthly performance reports across all Business Services elements. Develop business process documentation, action trackers, and success metrics for projects. Specialise in the Customer Service specific area of the business service function. Own our CXone Tool (customer service communication channel) at local level and represent our views for development at regional level, ensuring all Customer Service staff are making the best and most efficient use of the application. Support the Business Service Managers in all local branches across the UK & IE and be a visible and present support on site for the Customer Service area of the department. About You Experience in Business Services tasks such as customer services, order processing and transport administration Previous industry experience is desirable. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Knowledge of customs processes is a plus. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. Capable of driving performance and motivating teams. Willingness to travel to other UK locations and regional head offices as needed.
