The Role

As the school's SENCo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all students with SEN receive the support they need to thrive academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the school's SEN provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.


• Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.


• Liaising with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting students' needs.


• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SEN provision and implementing improvements as necessary.


• Contributing to the school's wider inclusion agenda.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will possess:

• A recognized teaching qualification and SENCo qualification (National Award for SEN Coordination).


• Significant experience working as a SENCo or in a similar role within a secondary school setting.


• A deep understanding of the SEN Code of Practice and relevant legislation.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.


• A passion for promoting inclusion and supporting the needs of all students.
