Academics is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Slough that is looking to appoint a dedicated Inclusion Teaching Assistant from September 2026. This long-term opportunity is ideal for graduates who are considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, speech and language therapy, or SEN support.
As an Inclusion Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning by providing tailored support throughout the school day. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure every child receives the encouragement and guidance they need to succeed.
Your Role Will Include:
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and challenging behaviour Supporting small group interventions to improve learning, confidence, and engagement Helping pupils develop positive relationships, emotional regulation, and independence Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to implement personalised support strategies Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thriveWe're Looking For Someone Who:
Is a graduate with a genuine interest in education and child development Is patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with children Has strong communication and teamwork skills Can remain calm and positive when supporting pupils with additional behavioural or emotional needs Is considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, mental health, therapy, or another SEN-related professionWhat the School Offers:
