Job Description - Income Manager

We are working with a well-established Client in Birmingham who are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Income Manager to lead their income recovery team.
Income Manager - Birmingham
Salary: £37,000 - £43,000 per year
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working Available)
Contract: Permanent
Employer: Housing Association
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day management of the income collection team, ensuring processes are followed and targets are achieved.
Support the team to maximise rent collection, minimise arrears, and provide advice and assistance to tenants facing financial challenges.
Take responsibility for complex arrears cases, including preparing and attending court when necessary.
Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure a joined-up approach to income recovery and tenancy sustainment.
As Income Manager, you will also contribute to shaping policies and procedures to ensure continuous service improvement.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience working in income recovery within social housing.
Previous experience as an Income Manager, or demonstrable experience supporting or mentoring staff in a similar setting.
Confident handling legal processes related to arrears recovery.
Strong knowledge of arrears procedures, welfare benefits, and tenancy support services.
Passionate about delivering a high-quality, customer-focused income service.
