Indirect Buyer

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged to recruit an Indirect Buyer.

The role:

To be responsible for the Purchasing and control of Indirect services with a particular bias on the Capex category.

Main responsibilities:

• Purchasing of indirect good and services, including the negotiation of current and expiring contracts
• Monitoring of market and suppliers to ensure you are gaining the most competitive pricing
• Negotiate improved contracts and terms and conditions
• Explore alterative sources for indirect good.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications:

• Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
• Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem-solving abilities
• Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
• Proven track record of procurement achievement within the indirect sector
• Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
• Contract management and supplier experience, be commercially and financially aware with a strong commercial procurement background
• Computer literate, to include Microsoft office suite
• Functional procurement experience managing indirect supply including Capex
• Knowledge and experience of best practice category management, sourcing, contract management and supplier performance management practices.
• Expected to travel both UK and internationally so a clean driving licence and passport is essential.
