Individual Needs Assistant (Cross in Hand School)

Hours of work: 25 hours per week 
Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only, working for 39 weeks per year plus 6.05 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service.
As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata.
Fixed term for: 12 months

Cross in Hand is a happy and successful Church of England Primary School in Heathfield, East Sussex.  We have genuinely lovely children, supportive parents and a great team of staff. 

We are looking for an Additional Needs Assistant to work with a high needs Key Stage 1 child, to help them achieve their personal EHCP targets and to be successful in a mainstream setting.

The successful candidate will;

• Have experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Be aspirational for the pupil's learning and development
• Have a positive attitude
• Demonstrate creativity and adaptability
   

Duties include:

• To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupils to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
• Support playground/break time, accompany children on educational visits and be prepared to administer basic First Aid and record keeping.      

Working Hours: 09.30 – 15.00, Monday to Friday.
