About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Industrial Cleaning Operative to join a busy industrial operation. This is a hands-on role working within a heavy industrial environment, carrying out specialist cleaning duties and ensuring work areas, equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in physically demanding environments and must have previous experience with confined spaces, high-pressure water jetting and chemical handling.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out heavy-duty industrial cleaning activities across the site.

* Undertake high-pressure water jetting and associated cleaning duties.

* Work safely within confined spaces when required.

* Handle and use industrial cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH and site procedures.

* Clean machinery, equipment, tanks, production areas and other industrial environments.

* Remove waste, residue, dirt and contaminants safely and efficiently.

* Follow risk assessments, method statements and site safety procedures.

* Use appropriate PPE at all times.

* Carry out pre-use checks on equipment and report any defects.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

* Work as part of a team while also being capable of working independently.

* Complete relevant paperwork and cleaning records where required.

* Follow all company health, safety and environmental procedures.

Essential Requirements:

The successful candidate must have:

* Previous experience in industrial/heavy industrial cleaning.

* Experience working within confined spaces.

* Experience using high-pressure water jetting equipment.

* Experience with chemical handling.

* A valid UK driving licence.

* Good understanding of workplace health & safety.

* Ability to work in physically demanding environments.

* Willingness to work in confined, dirty, wet and potentially challenging conditions.

* Reliable and punctual approach to work.

Desirable Experience:

Confined Space Entry certification.

High Pressure Water Jetting certification/experience.

COSHH training.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, utilities, waste, chemical or other heavy industrial environments.

Industrial vacuuming experience.

Tank cleaning experience.

Experience working during shutdowns/turnarounds.

Experience working with industrial cleaning machinery and specialist equipment.
