A well-established specialist in industrial and automatic door systems is seeking an experienced Industrial Door Engineer to join their growing team, covering predominantly the Hampshire region. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to work across a varied portfolio of installations, servicing, and repair projects within a professional and safety-focused environment.
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
Benefits: Van, fuel card, pension, 28 days holiday (inc bank holidays)
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of industrial and automatic door systems across commercial and industrial sites. The role requires a proactive approach to fault finding, strong client-facing skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, service, and repair industrial doors and associated equipment across multiple sites
* Carry out routine inspections and diagnose faults to ensure optimal system performance
* Ensure all works are completed in compliance with current health and safety regulations and standards
* Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and report any issues effectively
* Liaise professionally with clients on-site, providing updates and technical advice as required
* Travel to various job sites across Hampshire, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery
Requirements
* Minimum 2+ years’ experience working with industrial doors & automatic door systems
* Strong knowledge of servicing, repair, and installation of industrial, automatic, and pedestrian doors
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Valid CSCS card
* Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
* Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients and colleagues
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Electrical qualification
* Experience with automatic door systems
* Knowledge of access control systems
