This is an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Hygiene Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment with the potential to secure a permanent contract. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to build a career within a successful food manufacturing business.

Working Hours
5 days from 7 on a rotating rota Start times from 6:00am (with some flexibility depending on business requirements) Overtime available during busy periods
Location
The site is based near Haddington. Due to the rural location and limited public transport links, own transport is highly recommended.
About the Role
As an Industrial Hygiene Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the production facility. Working within a food manufacturing environment, you will ensure production areas, equipment, and communal spaces are cleaned and sanitised in line with strict food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and sanitising production equipment, machinery, and work areas Carrying out scheduled deep cleaning across the factory Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout production and staff facilities Safely using industrial cleaning equipment and approved cleaning chemicals Handling and disposing of waste in accordance with company procedures Completing cleaning records accurately Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times Supporting production teams by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in industrial cleaning, hygiene, manufacturing, or food production is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided A good understanding of hygiene and health & safety practices Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team Good attention to detail Flexible approach to working hours Own transport is highly recommended due to the site's location
