This is a great opportunity to join a well-established renewable energy company near Hemswell Cliff, Gainsborough , where you’ll be part of a hands-on engineering team keeping a busy operational site running safely and efficiently. You do not need previous renewable energy or anaerobic digestion experience. This is a bonus, but if you have a strong electrical maintenance background, good mechanical knowledge and enjoy fault finding in a live site environment, this could be an excellent move. You’ll be involved in planned maintenance, reactive breakdowns, fault finding, repairs, improvements and engineering support across a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment. Day to day, you will: · Carry out planned preventative maintenance across electrical and mechanical plant equipment · Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime · Fault-find on motors, sensors, control panels, drives, process machinery and site systems · Work on mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, conveyors, rotating equipment and associated plant · Complete repairs, installations, inspections and technical improvements · Use maintenance systems to record PPMs, defects, breakdowns and corrective actions · Support site improvement projects, upgrades and modifications · Help monitor plant performance through SCADA and process data · Support safe systems of work, isolation procedures and permit-to-work processes · Supervise contractors on site when required · Work closely with site operations to improve reliability, uptime and engineering standards · Take part in the on-call rota for out-of-hours engineering support What we’re looking for We’re looking for an electrically biased engineer who is practical, reliable and confident working in a live industrial environment. You will ideally have: · Level 3 electrical engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent · 18th Edition qualification preferred · Strong industrial electrical maintenance experience · Mechanical maintenance capability · Experience with PPMs, reactive breakdowns and fault finding · Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings · Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system · Good understanding of safe systems of work · Experience supervising contractors or working with permits to work · Full UK driving licence or reliable ability to travel to site · Flexibility to support the call-out rota Backgrounds that could be a strong fit This role could suit engineers from backgrounds such as: · Food manufacturing · FMCG · Packaging · Recycling · Wastewater · Utilities · Biomass · Anaerobic digestion · Biogas · Renewable energy · Agricultural engineering · Heavy manufacturing · Process plant · Automated production · Industrial maintenance · Quarrying, aggregates or materials handling · Chemical or high-risk process environments Experience with any of the following would be useful: · Pumps, valves, conveyors, augers, motors and gearboxes · Hydraulics and pneumatics · PLC fault finding · Inverters / VSDs · SCADA systems · Control panels · Rotating equipment · Site services · Fabrication or welding · Forklift, telehandler, IPAF, MEWP or similar tickets · Contractor control and permit-to-work systems About you You’ll be the kind of engineer who enjoys solving problems, taking ownership and keeping plant and equipment running properly.
