About the role

Are you an experienced partnership builder who enjoys working with businesses to create social impact? Do you thrive on shaping strategy while delivering tangible outcomes?


 


We’re looking for an Industry Engagement Lead to drive employer partnerships for Upstream London, Hammersmith & Fulham’s inclusive growth strategy connecting local young people to jobs, skills and careers in STEM and adjacent sectors.


 


This senior role sits within the Pathway Bond Unit and leads on engaging employers across science, tech, engineering, creative and green industries. You will be supported by a dedicated Industry Placements Coordinator.


 


You’ll take strategic ownership of employer engagement, including:


 



  • Designing and leading the employer engagement strategy for youth pathways.

  • Building and managing a strong pipeline of employer partners.

  • Securing meaningful commitments such as work placements, mentoring and skills activities.

  • Working with employers to co‑design placement and careers offers that work for everyone.

  • Representing the Pathway Bond initiative externally and building trusted relationships.

  • Using labour‑market insight and data to shape programme direction and priorities.

  • Tracking performance, partnerships and outcomes through clear KPIs and CRM systems.

  • This is a highly visible role with real influence over how local businesses support the next generation of talent.
